The Building-Related and Fire Codes Appeals and Advisory Board Meeting will hold its regular meeting in the 1901 S. Alamo beginning at 1:00 PM. Once convened, the Building-Related and Fire Codes Appeals and Advisory Board Meeting will take up the following items no sooner than the designated times.

Briefing and Possible Action on the following items

Presentation by Development Services Staff on the proposed process for reviewing and adopting the 2024 International Code Council Building-related codes and 2023 National Fire Protection Association National Electrical Code.
Action to update the by-laws for the Building-Related and Fire Codes Appeals and Advisory Board as it pertains to appointing non-board members to sub-committees.
Presentation and possible action on the applications to join sub-committees as non-board members to review the 2024 International Code Council Building-related codes and 2023 National Fire Protection Association National Electrical Code and propose amendments to the full Building-Related and Fire Codes Appeals and Advisory Board. Action would be to review and possibly approve the waiver of the requirement to reside in the City of San Antonio for any applicant that does not meet the requirement.
Action to create sub-committees to review the 2024 International Code Council Building-related codes and 2023 National Fire Protection Association National Electrical Code and propose amendments to the full Building-Related and Fire Codes Appeals and Advisory Board. The board will vote to create the sub-committees and appoint board members and possibly non-board members to the sub-committees.
At any time during the meeting, the Building-Related and Fire Codes Appeals and Advisory Board Meeting may meet in executive session for consultation with the City Attorney's Office concerning attorney client matters under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
