The Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission will hold its regular meeting in the City Tower Room 00.W410 Concourse Level Large Conference Room, 100 W. Houston Street, San Antonio, TX 78205 beginning at 9:00 AM. Once convened, the Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission will take up the following items no sooner than the designated times.

Once a quorum is established, the Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission shall consider the following:

 
Approval of Minutes
 
1.
Approval of the minutes from the Fire Fighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission meeting on March 29, 2024.
Briefing and Possible Action on the following items
 
2.
Protest and appeals of questions from the written examination for the position of Police Sergeant administered on March 28, 2024.
3.
Notice and appropriate action regarding the approval of the eligibility list for the position of Police Sergeant created from examination administered on March 28, 2024. This eligibility list will be valid for a period of one (1) year after the date on which the written examination was given or until the list is exhausted. If changes are made to the examination as a result of the Appeals Hearing, this item will be tabled, and an amended eligibility list will be certified at a subsequent Commission Meeting.
4.
Notice of SAPD disciplinary suspensions without pay:
a. An agreed fifteen (15) day suspension for Officer Steven D. Rivas effective March 28, 2024.
b. A one (1) day suspension for Officer Warren G. Zepeda effective March 28, 2024.
c. An indefinite suspension for Officer Levon B. Harrison effective April 2, 2024.

These matters have not been appealed and are therefore final.
Public Comments
 
The Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission may at any time during the meeting recess into an executive session to discuss personnel and/or legal issues related to any item on this agenda, pursuant to Section 551.074 (personnel matters) and 551.071 (consultation with attorney).
