The Public Safety Committee will hold its regular meeting at the San Antonio Police Training Academy, 12200 SE Loop 410 Access Rd, beginning at 9:30 AM. Once convened, the Public Safety Committee will take up the following items no sooner than the designated times.

Members of the public can comment or speak on items on the agenda. Public comment will be scheduled during the meeting by the Chair. If an individual signs up to speak on one or more items, all comments will be heard at the same time. To sign up to speak visit www.saspeakup.com. Once a quorum is established, the Public Safety Committee shall consider the following:

Briefing and possible action on a grant application, not to exceed $35,000.00, from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for the Click It Or Ticket (CIOT) Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) grant program for the period of May 19, 2023, through June 7, 2023. Briefing and possible action on a San Antonio Police Department grant application in an amount not to exceed $35,000.00, from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for the "Operation Slowdown” grant program for the period of July 14, 2023, through July 30, 2023. Executive Session

At any time during the meeting, the Committee may meet in executive session for consultation with the City Attorney's Office concerning attorney client matters under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.

After the meeting, members of the Public Safety Committee may tour the San Antonio Police Training Academy, located at 12200 SE Loop 410 Access Road. No official action will be taken during this time.
