A MEETING OF THE SMALL BUSINESS ADVOCACY COMMITTEE WILL BE HELD VIA A WEBEX PHONE CONFERENCE ON MONDAY, JUNE 29, 2020 AT 10:00 A.M.,TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING MATTERS:

PUBLIC COMMENT
To protect the health of the public and limit the potential spread of COVID-19, the Small Business Advocacy Committee (SBAC) will be held virtually via WebEx telephone conference call. These meeting standards are based upon the suspended provisions of the Open Meetings Act issued by the Texas Governor in response the COVID-19 crisis. These modified standards shall remain in place until further notice or the state disaster declaration expires or is otherwise terminated by the Texas Governor. Individuals may make public comments for, against, or on any item on the agenda by emailing their comments to [email protected] or by calling the Economic Development Department (EDD) phone line at 210- 207-3922 and leaving a voice mail, beginning at 10 am on June 26th. Audio conference:US Toll+1-415-655-0001 Access code:1330151259 Any individual requesting to be heard will need to identify the agenda item and limit their comments to that particular item. Comments via email must be limited to 300 words and the voice mails up to 3 minutes long may be submitted in English or Spanish. The public comments received pertaining to agenda items will be transcribed by staff to be read or played back during the meeting. Comments that do not pertain to the agenda items will not be considered by the Committee. Individuals may also sign-up via email ([email protected]) for live call back beginning at 10 am on June 26th and before 9 am, June 29th. Callers will need to leave their name and a call-back number, and identify the agenda item they wish to comment upon. EDD staff will call those individuals during the meeting so they may make public comments for, against, or on any item on the agenda for a total of no more than 3 minutes.

At any time during the Meeting, the Committee may meet in Executive Session for consultation concerning attorney-client matters (real estate, litigation, contracts, personnel and security) under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
