THIS WDC MEETING WILL BE HELD USING A VIDEO AND AUDIO CONFERENCE SYSTEM AND IS AUTHORIZED BY GOVERNOR GREG ABBOTT’S TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CERTAIN ASPECTS OF THE TEXAS OPEN MEETINGS ACT WHICH ALLOWS FOR A GOVERNING BODY TO HOLD A “VIRTUAL” MEETING SO AS TO AVOID GATHERING MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC AND/OR BOARDMEMBERS, AND STAFF IN A PHYSICAL SETTING THAT MIGHT CONSTITUTE A PUBLIC HEALTH RISK. 1. Welcome and Introductions- New Board of Directors Raquel Zapata, Louis Escareno, John Hernden and Rod McSherry.
2. Discussion and possible action on the approval of the minutes for the meeting of November 18, 2020.
3. Discussion and possible action on the application and receipt of funding for the Paycheck Protection Program, Rounds 1 and 2.
4. Discussion and possible action to approve an agreement with HR&A for the development of a Westside Economic Growth Strategic Plan and authorizing a funding agreement with the Westside Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone.
5. Discussion and possible action on the renaming of the Westside Development Corporation
6. Discussion and possible action on the virtual relaunch event.
7. Discussion and possible action on the creation of a Westside Public Improvement District (PID).
8. President’s Report.
9. Executive Session. • Pursuant to Sections 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney) and 551.072, (real estate matters) regarding the Basila Frocks property.
