The Economic and Workforce Development Committee will hold its regular meeting in the Council Briefing Room at City Hall beginning at 2:00 PM. Once convened, the Economic and Workforce Development Committee will take up the following items no sooner than the designated times.

Once a quorum is established, the Economic and Workforce Development Committee shall consider the following:

Approval of the minutes from the Economic and Workforce Development Committee meeting on January 30, 2024.
Public Comments
Briefing and Possible Action on the following items
Briefing by Port San Antonio on the organization’s history, its economic development vision and strategy, and overview of recent milestones, accomplishments, and major projects. [Alejandra Lopez, Assistant City Manager; Brenda Hicks -Sorensen, Director, Economic Development]
Briefing on Launch SA, the front door to small business and entrepreneur support in San Antonio. [Alejandra Lopez, Assistant City Manager; Brenda Hicks -Sorensen, Director, Economic Development]
Briefing and possible action on the City of San Antonio Department of Human Services Early Head Start and Head Start Programs [Lori Houston, Assistant City Manager; Melody Woosley, Director, Human Services].
At any time during the meeting, the Economic and Workforce Development Committee may meet in executive session for consultation with the City Attorney's Office concerning attorney client matters under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
