The Public Safety Committee will hold its regular meeting in the Council Briefing Room, City Hall beginning at 9:30 AM. Once convened, the Public Safety Committee will take up the following items no sooner than the designated times.

Members of the public can comment or speak about items on the agenda. Public comment will be scheduled during the meeting by the Chair. If an individual signs up to speak on one or more items, all comments will be heard at the same time. Once a quorum is established, the Public Safety Committee shall consider the following:

Approval of minutes for the Public Safety Committee on October 19, 2021
2.

Briefing and possible action on a San Antonio Police Department Grant award in an amount up to $345,702.00 from the U.S. Department of Justice. [María Villagómez, Deputy City Manager; William P. McManus, Chief of Police]
4.
Briefing and possible action on a San Antonio Police Department grant award in an amount up not to exceed $200,000.00, from the Office of the Governor (OOG), Public Safety Office (PSO), Criminal Justice Division (CJD) for the TK-DNA Test Kit Fund, FY21 DNA Testing Grant Program. [María Villagómez, Deputy City Manager; William P. McManus, Chief of Police]
5.
Briefing and possible action on a San Antonio Police Department Grant award in an amount of $50,000.00 from the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDoT) DWI traffic enforcement grant called Impaired Driving Mobilization (IDM). 6.
Briefing to provide an overview of the Complaint & Advisory Review Board (CARB). [María Villagómez, Deputy City Manager; William P. McManus, Chief of Police]
Executive Session

At any time during the meeting, the Committee may meet in executive session for consultation with the City Attorney's Office concerning attorney client matters under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
 
Consideration of items for future meetings
 
No Public Safety Committee Meeting will be held in December. The next Public Safety Committee Meeting is tentatively scheduled for January 18, 2022.
