The San Antonio Early Childhood Education Municipal Development Corporation Board of Directors will hold its regular meeting in the North Education Center, 3635 Medical Dr. beginning at 2:00 PM. Once convened, the San Antonio Early Childhood Education Municipal Development Corporation Board of Directors will take up the following items no sooner than the designated times.

Once a quorum is established, the San Antonio Early Childhood Education Municipal Development Corporation Board of Directors shall consider the following:

 
Approval of Minutes

Approval of the minutes from the San Antonio Early Childhood Education Municipal Development Corporation meeting on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

Consent Agenda

Board action to approve a contract with McGriff Insurance Services, Inc. to provide Insurance Brokerage Services for the Pre-K 4 SA program for a term of three years with an option to renew for two, one year terms in an amount not to exceed $109,000.00.

Board action to approve acceptance of a contract with Nulinx International, Inc. to provide a student information system software for a period of three years, with two, one-year options to renew for a total contract value not to exceed $86,500.00.

Board action to authorize Pre-K 4 SA staff to utilize the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative to purchase classroom furniture, supplies and equipment for the Pre-K 4 SA Education Centers, Gardendale Early Learning Program and Competitive Grants Program awardees from Lakeshore Equipment Company DBA Lakeshore Learning Materials in an amount not to exceed $400,000 and Kaplan Early Learning Company in an amount not to exceed $80,000.

Briefing of results from Year 8 Independent Evaluation of Pre-K 4 SA Program by Westat. [Lauren Decker-Woodrow, Ph.D., Westat Senior Study Director]
9.
Briefing on the renewal of the lease of the property 7031 S. New Braunfels Ave., San Antonio, Texas 78223 (“South Lease”) under new terms as negotiated. [Sarah Baray, Ph.D, Pre-K 4 SA CEO]
10.
Update on Pre-K 4 SA professional learning and grants agenda for SY2021-2022 with a focus on key initiatives for strengthening San Antonio’s early learning infrastructure to create an equitable, affordable, high-quality early learning and care system for young children. [Larrisa Wilkinson, Pre-K 4 SA Director of Professional Learning and Program Innovation]

At any time during the meeting, the San Antonio Early Childhood Education Municipal Development Corporation Board of Directors may meet in executive session for consultation with the City Attorney's Office concerning attorney client matters under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.

Consideration of Future Meetings

The next meeting of the Board of Directors is the Board Retreat scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at the San Antonio Botanical Garden.
