Non action item, DSD staff will brief the committee on the three static to digital billboard ordinances that have been approved by City Council, allowing billboard operators to convert static billboards to digital, Ordinances 2007-06-1242, 2019-11-07-0910, & 2019-09-12-0718.

Chapter 28 amendment item 12-1, external, request to add Sec. 28-54(e) to Sec 28-54, Digital Displays, a section that would allow the installation of a qualifying second digital display under Sec. 28-54(d) to be installed within 9 months of the adoption of the updated Chapter 28, (Jeremy McDonald, BRFCAAB Board Liaison, 210-207-0265, [email protected], Development Services Department)

Review remaining requests for amendments to Chapter 28, Signs, to determine if additional information is needed and to determine which items would be discussed at the next Sign Code Committee meeting. No action will be taken under this agenda item.
Director's Report
 
At any time during the meeting, the Building-Related and Fire Codes Appeals and Advisory Board - Sign Code Committee may meet in executive session for consultation with the City Attorney's Office concerning attorney client matters under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
