The Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission Meeting will hold its regular meeting in the City Tower, 100 W. Houston St. 10th Floor, Large Conference Room 10.W1003 beginning at 9:00 AM. Once convened, the Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission Meeting will take up the following items no sooner than the designated times.

Once a quorum is established, the Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission Meeting shall consider the following:

 
Approval of Minutes
 
1.
Approval of the minutes from the Fire Fighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission meeting on February 14, 2022
Briefing and Possible Action on the following items
 
2.
Protest and appeals of questions from the written examination for the position of Fire Lieutenant administered on February 22, 2022.
3.
Notice and appropriate action regarding the approval of the eligibility list for the position of Fire Lieutenant.
4.
Notice and appropriate action regarding the approval of the eligibility list for the position of Police Sergeant.
5.
Notice and appropriate action regarding the approval to administer a Probationary Firefighter Examination.
6.
Notice and appropriate action to approve two lists of psychiatrists to evaluate two San Antonio Police Department applicants.
7.
Review, discussion, and possible action regarding SAPD applicants appeal to beginning positions.
a. Edward Lopez – Rule IX 11 – False Statement – Permanent Disqualification
b. William Harrington – Rule IX 9a – Employment History – Eligible June 23, 2023

Notice of SAPD disciplinary suspensions without pay:
a. An agreed three (3) day suspension for Officer Bryan J. Fletcher effective February 8, 2022.
b. An agreed one (1) day suspension for Officer James J. David effective February 18, 2022.
c. An agreed five (5) day suspension for Officer Jose A. Diaz effective February 23, 2022.
d. An agreed ten (10) day suspension for Detective Regino S. Segura effective February 18, 2022.
e. An agreed three (3) day suspension for Captain Brian A. Reyes effective February 15, 2022.
f. An agreed five (5) day suspension for Officer Raul J. Rodriguez effective February 28, 2022.

These matters have not been appealed and are, therefore, final.

The Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission may at any time during the meeting recess into an executive session to discuss personnel and/or legal issues related to any item on this agenda, pursuant to Section 551.074 (personnel matters) and 551.071 (consultation with attorney).
