The Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission will hold its regular meeting in the 100 W. Houston Street, San Antonio, TX 78205, City Tower Large Conference Room 10.W1003 beginning at 9:00 AM. Once convened, the Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission will take up the following items no sooner than the designated times.

Once a quorum is established, the Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission shall consider the following:

 
Approval of Minutes

Approval of the minutes from the Fire Fighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission meeting on January 24, 2022
Briefing and Possible Action on the following items

Notice and appropriate action regarding the approval to administer a Probationary Firefighter Examination. The two-hour written examination will be given at 9:00 AM on March 25, 2022, at the Fire Training Academy, 300 S. Callaghan Road, San Antonio, Texas 78227. The eligibility list will be valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of approval or until the list has been exhausted.

Review, discussion, and possible action regarding SAPD applicants appeal to beginning positions.

o. A one (1) day suspension for Officer Anthony S. Brown effective February 3, 2022.

These matters have not been appealed and are, therefore, final.

t. A fifteen (15) day suspension for Fire Engineer Jesse Saldana effective January 19, 2022. A letter of appeal was received on January 27, 2022.

The Fire Fighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission may at any time during the meeting recess into an executive session to discuss personnel and/or legal issues related to any item on this agenda, pursuant to Section 551.074 (personnel matters) and 551.071 (consultation with attorney).
